Originally just a fishing village now Coco is also a bustling vacation and expat destination that has great scuba diving, fishing, boat tours and much more. The dark sand beach of Playas del Coco is in the Gulf of Papagayo and stretches 3 kilometers (1.8 miles) from point to point. Excellent for fishing, swimming, beach walks, just relaxing. Playas del Coco has many restaurants, shops, bars, nightclubs, grocery stores and a gas station, most within a short walk. It is not always quiet, you can hear the parades coming down the main street, football (soccer) games, community celebrations, fireworks and nightclubs with live music sometimes get noisy. Sometimes that reminds you to go join in the fun.
The restaurants you’ll find below start with the ones closest to Toro Blanco, there is a lot of variety so you will probably find what you are looking for.
Whether you are interested in hiking, ziplines, hose back ringing, waterfalls, seeing animals, hanging bridges, boat tours, visiting jungles… just about anything possible.
