Playa Buena is a nice rocky beach with dark sand and blue waters, located only 8.6 km from the hotel, around 17 min by car. Has quite a relaxed and peaceful atmosphere.   

It’s great for snorkeling as one can easily find sea urchins, fish, coral and with gentle tides, it is also great for swimming and perfect for doing paddleboard/jet skiing.   

This beach also has a hotel in front “All-Inclusive Occidental Papagayo”, has a lot of trees, so there is plenty of shade which is always good for the sun. If you plan to spend your day on the beach, it is recommended bringing food and drinks because there are no supermarkets or restaurants nearby.
